Blue Star Canada’s FIRST Live Virtual Retreat with Sri Vasudeva was held October 19th – 21st 2018 at Northumberland Heights in Cobourg, ON.
Under the guidance of Sri Vasudeva, the facilitators shared information and tools to better understand and take responsibility for our well-being. Sri Vasudeva joined the group virtually throughout the day to answer our questions and guide us through meditation.
Presentations from the retreat are available to download below:
“Participating at the retreats help me feel empowered, balance and peaceful. It is like a reset and cleansing of old patterns that are triggered in daily life. The co-created energy is so strong and spiritual that it gives me a boost, creating the momentum to put into practice the teachings that were shared. From this past retreat, I have been practicing the pranayama exercises with the exhaling longer than the inhaling as shown. I am exploring all the food combination suggestions and found particularly helpful to know that beans and legumes are considered starch instead of protein for example! I greatly enjoy the company of my Blue Star family members knowing that we are all souls walking together towards the path of ultimate joy, peace and freedom with the guidance and blessings of our beloved Gurudev. Forever grateful for that gift!”

“As I reflect on our fall retreat – Take Charge of your Wellbeing, I realize the great potential that is there in each one of us in the Blue Star family. It’s amazing what we can do when we come together! Each one of us has unique skills and talents and when supported by our guide and guru – Sri Vasudeva we can achieve so much. From a presenter/co-facilitator point of view, I can see how Guruji masterfully paired us to co-facilitate each of the three topics that made up this retreat. He worked diligently with us and gave selflessly of his time to coach us to become the best instruments that we could be to channel from that space that he resides in. We each volunteered for topics we felt passionate about and/or wanted to learn more. All the aspects of the retreat seem to fall in place like a well conducted symphony orchestra.
“It was a joy to be in the company of members of the Canadian Blue Star family. From the intimate gathering for Shiva Mahimna on Friday evening to the final plenary session on Saturday, every moment presented such beautiful opportunities to share the light to the best of my ability and to see it shining in and through presenters and attendees alike. The total support of our dear Sri Vasudeva was felt throughout all the preparations and in his dedication to making himself available to our gathering via a virtual connection. The most heartwarming moment for me was in the realization at the end of Saturday’s session when it was clear, no one wanted to step out of the beautiful bubble we had created. I am so grateful to be blessed to journey with a Master teacher and such beautiful souls.”
“I observed that even the retreat building appear to appear to follow an evolutionary path that continues to evolve through various people as “instruments” in the much the same way the retreat, our lives and even Blue Star has unfolded – all perfect expressions of Kundalini. As Guruji affirmed for example, even though we think we made the decision to continue our spiritual seeking by attending the retreat, it was in fact Kundalini that orchestrated us being here in this situation to facilitate our continued growth and evolution. All is in divine order when we have the eyes to see. What a joy and a blessing to be instruments in the co-creation!

“I know it was not by chance, but by the guidance of Kundalini that I attended the Blue Star Canada 2018 Retreat. However, I still am amazed by how orchestrated the whole experience felt. It was exactly the reminder I needed to continue to seek balance in my worldly activities, after having followed Guruji’s workshop on “Taking Charge of your Wellbeing” in the summer. Reviewing food wisdom and doshas, pranayama and Kundalini as a guiding force, provided an exciting exploration of the tools from gross to subtle. The virtual discussions with Guruji during this retreat felt very personal and inclusive. I felt lucky to be part of history in the making as a participant in our first Live Virtual Retreat!”
“What I had looked forward to the most was the sharing of and in the energy of fellow seekers. And I wasn’t disappointed. The synergy was especially unique as it was a small to midsized gathering so was intimate but also offered opportunity for encounters with seekers I am less accustomed to meeting. The latter was important for bringing fresh and unexpected perspectives, which jolted me into deeper insight. On that note, my single biggest takeaway was an overhauled understanding of Kundalini, demystified, as a global process, encompassing wellness. That message is the Blue Star difference, the essence of our brand, so to speak. And made explicit, it harmonized, supported and advanced my current practice so that the retreat was very timely and fulfilling. My deepest appreciation to all the team and Guruji. Om Shanti.”
“This Retreat offered a wonderful opportunity to focus on both the physical and spiritual – the two aspects of our nature that are often in conflict with each other. It showed what an integrated, holistic, spiritual approach looks like in day-to-day living. We learned through the science of Ayurveda what works for each body type or dosha and this knowledge was supported by the spiritual practices of meditation, chanting, yoga and pranayama during the weekend. The facilities at the Northumberland Heights also provided the opportunity to experience Ayurveda body treatments – so the entire weekend retreat felt complete in that each area of one’s being was being attended to.”
“I am pleased that my presentation at this retreat went well and I know the reason for my successful presentation goes beyond my subject matter expertise and personal preparation. The reason was of course my degree of centeredness.
This began weeks before the retreat, by not only having the intention for an impactful event but also with the support of the space and Guruji along with all our Guides. The support for the event was strong and this allowed us to have a beautiful day. I felt guided, connecting to Kundalini in giving my presentation, which I think is the most important thing for a presenter to do i.e. to connect inward. I am reminded that while preparedness for any situation helps, it is not the ultimate factor. What is truly important is the inner connection, or holding the hand of the Divine. With this, I am able to handle absolutely anything, with the best possible outcome, knowing nothing can truly harm me because the universe is within me and I, within the universe!”
